This course explores social, emotional, physical and cognitive development; theories of learning, motivation and behavior; exceptionalities and classroom management of students in grades PK to 12. All topics will be addressed in terms both of understanding the relevant theories and of the application of skills and knowledge to the teaching/learning process. Required of MAT candidates and of undergraduates seeking initial licensure.
